Major League Baseball Player. The brother of Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Jay Hanna 'Dizzy' Dean, he played with his brother for the St. Louis Cardinals and in 1934 they won the World Series Championship. During 1934 to 1935 with the St. Louis Cardinals he won 19 games each year and pitched a no-hitter against the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1936 his career was cut short because of an arm injury and he was traded to the New York Giants after the 1939 season. His career record included 50 wins, 34 losses and earned an average of 3.75. He was also a member of the Gashouse Gang who won two games against the Detroit Tigers.
