Ronald James Johnson, 54, of Sulphur Springs, died Sunday, October 18, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born December 1, 1954, in Gladwyn, MI, the son of Bert and Ilah Minnie Johnson.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Siloam Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Johnson.

He married Mary Ellen Mullinax on August 14, 1984, in Grove, OK. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Calvin Eugene Johnson and wife Mary of Prairie Grove, Shawn Allen Workman and Derek Scott Johnson, both of Sulphur Springs; four daughters, Tammy Adams, Natasha Johnson, Katrina Johnson and Sabrina Johnson, all of Sulphur Springs; three brothers, Kenneth Johnson and Melvin Johnson, both of California, and David Johnson; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Mary Ellen Johnson, 62, of Sulphur Springs, died June 25, 2015, in Ozarks Community Hospital, Gravette.

She was born May 30, 1953, in Tulsa, Okla., to Eldon and Clara (Merely) Mullinax. She and Ronald Johnson were married August 14, 1980. She worked at Sibley Engineering in Sulphur Springs as a machinist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Wayne; and a sister, Betty.

Survivors include daughters, Tammy Adams and husband Mark of Gentry, Natasha Jones and husband Jacob of Utah, Katrina Lee and husband Anthony of Wagoner, Okla., and Sabrina Johnson of Sulphur Springs; sons, Gene Workman and wife Mary of Farmington, Shawn Workman of Sulphur Springs, and Derek Johnson of Sulphur Springs; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Gatlin of Decatur, Margaret Foster of Bella Vista, and Barbara Hardin of Decatur; and one brother, Elden Mullinax of Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
