Charles M. Morris, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, 85, of Clarksville passed peacefully, Monday, Oct 19, 2020, at his home.
He was born in Montana, Arkansas, Feb 5, 1935 to Roy and Geraldine (Adams) Morris.
He graduated from Coal Hill High School, Coal Hill, AR and entered the US Air Force. He retired after serving 20 years. He later became a car dealer and also worked for the forestry department. After retiring from these professions, he volunteered his time in many Christian organizations. His passion in serving Christ led him to the Southern Baptist Nailbenders where he spent two weeks each month building churches throughout Arkansas as well as building beds for Baptist Vista Encampment. He also worked with the Texas Baptist Furniture Builders where he assisted in building furniture for church camps in Texas. Charles was an active deacon and faithful member of Second Baptist Church, Clarksville.
He was married for 65 years to his high school sweetheart, Lora Dean Goodin Morris. They shared a love of family and a love for the Lord. In 2018, Charles was blessed to find love again with Glenda Marvel. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, volunteering and visiting with many friends and family.
Charles was preceded in death by Lora, his parents and sister, Mottrie Knight.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda of the home; a son Jerry Morris and wife Deletha of Clarksville; two daughters, Loretta Guiling and husband Buddy of Lindsay, TX; and Shiela Morris Griffin and husband Monty of Greenbrier, AR; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren; a brother George Morris and wife Jeannie; and a sister Grasha Sisk; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church of Clarksville. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Tom Dicus officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Buddy Guiling, Roy Morris, Joshua Morris, Eli King, Logan King, Monty Griffin, and Dennis Waigand. Honorary Pallbearers are members of Second Baptist Church of Clarksville, AR.

Lora Dean Morris was born October 14, 1934, to her parents Joe R. and Lera H. Goodin in Hartman, Arkansas, and passed away October 1, 2017, in Clarksville, Arkansas, at the age of 82.
She is survived by her husband Charles Morgan Morris of Clarksville, Arkansas. Son Jerry M. Morris and wife Deletha of Clarksville, Arkansas. Daughters Loretta L. Guiling and husband Buddy of Lindsay, Texas and Shiela M. King of Greenbrier, Arkansas. 9 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be October 3, 2017 5-7 pm at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel Clarksville. Funeral service will be October 4, 2017 at Second Baptist Church Clarksville, Arkansas with Reverend Tom Dicus officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville.
Arrangements are by Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas.
