FAYETTEVILLE — Billie Dean Foster, age 89, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, in Fayetteville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Nancy Catherine Shreve Foster; two sons, Frank Blew Jr. and Mike Blew; a brother, Ellis Foster and a sister Marjorie Burnett.
He retired after 32 years from the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Austria during post-WWII peacekeeping mission and in Alaska during the Korean Conflict as a medic. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Blew Israel and husband Ben of Fayetteville; his daughters-in-law, Maya Gilley Blew of Fayetteville and Rita Ragland Blew of Junction, Texas; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Moore's Chapel. A private internment will be held at Farmington Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Seven Hills Homeless Center, 1031 North College Ave., Fayetteville, Ark., 72701.

FAYETTEVILLE — Nancy Catherine Foster, age 93, a longtime resident of Fayetteville passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Maples at Harber Meadows in Springdale. She was born Dec. 4, 1923, on the Shreve farm in Farmington, Ark., the daughter of Ralph and Janie Bell Wilson Shreve.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons Frank Blew, Jr. and Mike Blew; her sisters Waurika Porter and Joan Pruett; her brothers William F. Shreve and Ralph Shreve Jr.
She was employed by Campbell Soup for many years and after her time there she worked at Hancock Fabrics. She was of the Christian faith and was a charter member of University Baptist Church.
She was hard working, generous and very proud of her Cherokee heritage. She made hundreds of handmade quilts for family and friends and donated many to raffles for charity as well as the Cherokee children's orphanage.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billie D. Foster; her daughter, Nancy Blew Israel and husband Ben of Fayetteville; her daughters-in-law, Mava Gilley Blew of Fayetteville and Rita Ragland Blew of Junction, Texas; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 at Moore's Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Second Mile Ministries at University Baptist Church, 333 W.
