When William Spencer McKown was born on March 31, 1910, his father, Allen, was 37 and his mother, Lenna, was 26. He married Viola Barnard and they had nine children together. He also had one daughter with Pearl Irene Barker Mckown. He died on February 6, 1977, in McRae, Arkansas, at the age of 66.
