Shelby Cooper Robinson, age 77, of Lamar, passed away March 26th in Clarksville, AR

Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 at Roller Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, AR

Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday at Lamar Baptist Church in Lamar, AR with Bro. Tim Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Knoxville Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller Cox Funeral Home.

Shelby was born in Cardon Bottoms, AR to the late Opal and Vida Robinson on February 22, 1942. He is a graduate of Dardanelle High School. He was married to Teressa Goforth Robinson. He was a carpenter building houses for over 45 years, a farmer, and a dedicated member of Lamar Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and as Sunday School Superintendent. He was an avid fan of Razorback and Warrior athletics.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vida and Opal Robinson, his first wife Sandra McCarley Robinson, one brother, Bob Robinson, and three sisters: Verna Mae Westcott, Juanita Jeffers, Louise Terry.

He is survived by his wife, Teressa Goforth Robinson; one daughter, Shelly Robinson of Topeka, KS; one son, Brent and Jaleen Robinson of Lamar; one grandson, Caleb Robinson of Lamar; two granddaughters, Brittney and Jason Shook of Lamar and Shelby Lynne and David Kuzmin of Lamar, and was proud of his great-granddaughter, Parker Sue, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his second, Madeline Rae. He also leaves behind two sisters, Faye and Rondell Parker of Hurst, TX, and Jeannie and Waymon Westcott of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Stan and Johnice Robinson of Farmersville, CA; one brother-in-law Bobby Jeffers of Cotton Port, LA one sister-in-law Pat Robinson of Hartford, AR, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pall Bearers will be Brian McCormick, Brian Hinsey, Greg Wilson, Alan Crowden, Larry Caldwell, Jay Holland

Honorary Pall Barriers Don Caldwell, Rick McCarley, Gene Leeds, Roger Ost

The family would like to offer a special word of thanks for the care received at Johnson County Health and Rehab and Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Knoxville, daughter of John McCarley and Margaret Higgs McCarley, member of Lamar Baptist Church, cattle and turkey farmer, and was preceded in death by her grandparents, Will and Ossie McCarley and Zena and Agnes Higgs; and father-in-law, Opal Robinson.

She was 57 when she died at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock,AR.
