William Robert Nichols of Knoxville, Arkansas was born on September 23, 1941 in Knoxville, Arkansas to Sherman and Helen Ruth Burton Nichols. He passed away on August 18, 2020 in Rogers, Arkansas at the age of 78. He worked at Kenner Boat Company and he worked as a carpenter. He also attended the Knoxville Bethel Baptist Church and was a Master Mason at Lodge 370.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Pete Nichols; Marvin Nichols; Mutt Nichols; Raymond Nichols; Monroe Nichols; Guy Nichols; Fred Nichols; Gus Nichols; his grandson, Nicholas Coffron; his granddaughter, Tianna Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie C. Wilson Nichols of the home; his sons, William E. Nichols of Malvern, Arkansas; Matthew Nichols and wife, Tracie of Knoxville, Arkansas; his daughter, Sheila Pitts and Newal David of Garfield, Arkansas; his sister, Jewel Clayborn of Clarksville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Adam Demmitt and wife, Krystal of Wasilla, Alaska; Jessica Hatfield and husband, Corey of Bentonville, Arkansas; Nathan Pitts and wife, Lindsey of Wasilla, Alaska; Shawn Nichols and wife, Tory of Clarksville, Arkansas; Victoria Nichols and Hunter Sanders of Knoxville, Arkansas; Caleb Nichols (U.S. Navy) of Los Angeles, California; his great-grandchildren, Riley Demmitt, Emmett Powell, Gabriel White, Lily Demmitt, Dante White, Zyra Aparicio, Quinn Pitts, Axel Sanders, Dawson Nichols, and Quera Aparicio.
Open viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas.
A graveside service is at 10 a.m., Thursday, August, 27, 2020 at Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Arkansas with Brother Ira Taylor officiating. Pallbearers are Glenn Wayne Chavers, Carl Collins, Jody Storms, Kenneth Kennedy, Brian Nichols, J.R. Anglin, Lee Smith, and Charlie Manns. Honorary Pallbearers are Adam Demmitt, Nathan Pitts, Nicholas Coffron, Shawn Nichols, Caleb Nichols, Noah Demmitt, Emmett Powell, Gabriel White, Dante White, Zayden Aparicio, Axel Sanders, Dawson Nichols, Neal David Pitts, Derek Nichols, and Ray Demmitt.
