John O. Armstrong 96, of Gentry Arkansas passed away Friday January 31, 2014 at the VA hospital Fayetteville. John was born January 21, 1918 in Sloan Iowa to Charles & Della (Anderson) Armstrong.
John was a member of Jamestown Assembly of God church, a farmer, and served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and his wife Myrtle Severn Armstrong, one granddaughter and one grandson.
John is survived by one step son George and Carol Severn of Gentry, Three step daughters Winnie Pipkins of Big Cedar, OK, Mary L. Williams of Greenwood, AR, and Anna Hays of Las Vegas, NV; Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Armstrong’s funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. A privet burial will follow in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Arkansas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Mytle Nowotny Armstrong, 83, of Gentry, Arkansas, formerly of Clarksville, died Thursday, November 18, 2004. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville with burial at Knoxville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, a son, three sisters, a brother, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
