SPRINGDALE ---- Virginia Mae Rhine, 55, of Springdale died Sept. 22, 1995, at Springdale Nursing Center. She was born April 24, 1940, at Clifty to Charles U. and Mae Lillie Cornelison George. She was a retired nurse's aide, a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church of Springdale, and a lifelong resident of the area. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Rhine of the home, to whom she was married Nov. 15, 1958; three sons, Danny Rhine and Michael T. Rhine, both of Fayetteville, and James Glenn Rhine of Pineville, Mo.; one daughter, Valerie D. Turner of Springdale; two brothers, Leroy George of Pontiac, Mich., and Corbett George of Springdale; four sisters, Alice Glenn, Cuba Glenn, Erma (Johnnie) Pine and Zelma Taylor, all of Springdale; eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sipco Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Randy Burris officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Rhine, Jim Ray Rhine, Melvin Burkett, Marty Gabbard, Steve George, Ron Blakemore and Freddie George.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

ANDERSON, Mo. — James Willie Rhine, 81, of Anderson, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Anderson, Mo. James was born on May 14, 1930, in Farmington, Ark., a son of Sylvia (Hudson) and Willie "Bill" Rhine.
He worked for Dixieland Poultry, John J. Carroll Company and George's as a builder, he ran a car lot for many years; and he enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes.
He is survived by one daughter, Valerie Turner and husband, Mitchell; five sons, David Rhine, Jim Ray Rhine, Danny and wife, Diana, James "Glenn" Rhine and wife, Sherrie, and Michael Rhine, all of Springdale, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. Rhine; a grandson, Michael Rasdon; two brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation services will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark. Cremation services will be under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark.
