Nora Jean O'Neal Stroud, age 97, of Morrilton, passed away Friday, August 01, 2014. She was born October 29, 1916, in Scotland, Arkansas, a daughter of Alva Bernard O'Neal and Lula Leona Clutts O'Neal. She was retired from the Morrilton Revenue office and attended the Harding Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Stroud of Morrilton and Sallie Stroud Varner of Gravette, Arkansas; granddaughters, Melissa Williams of Bentonville, Arkansas and Hannah Savage of Fayetteville, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Bailey Musteen, Dane Savage, Mollie Williams, Loren Savage, Graden Williams and Olivia Savage; nieces Susan Hoelzeman and Becca Sponer of Morrilton; nephew Ted O'Neal of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lee Roy Stroud, and grandson, Shannon Heath Williams Jr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7th at the Harris Chapel with Mr. Charles Bane officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
