James “Jim” Edward Rigsby of Clarksville, Arkansas, was born June 15, 1937, in Spadra, Arkansas, and passed away August 16, 2016, in Paris, Arkansas, at the age of 79.

He was a Truck Driver and retired from the Johnson County Road Department.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Hartville Rigsby and Louise Westover Rigsby; a brother, Tommy Lee Rigsby; and an infant son, James Edward Rigsby, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joan Hatchett Rigsby; two sons: Danny Joe Rigsby and wife, Deborah, of Clarksville, Arkansas and Jeffery Carl Rigsby and wife, Monika, of Altus, Arkansas; a daughter, Lisa Dawn Clark and husband, Ian, of Hagarville, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Danny Joe Rigsby Jr. of Clarksville; Sr. Airman Matthew James Rigsby and wife, Amy, of Japan; and Ashley Nicole Rigsby of Deer, Arkansas; two great-grandchildren: Steven James Rigsby of Clarksville, Arkansas and Ivy Elona Rigsby of Japan; and a step-granddaughter, Amanda Demato and husband, Heath, of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016, at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas, with David Heaslet and Ronnie Butler officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews: Kenny Bridgewater, Ernie Bridgewater, Cissy Heaslet, Regina Cole, Roxann Lewis, Angela Pearson, Christy Harp, Misty Bridgewater, Tommy Lee Rigsby Jr., Marsha Pratt, Tonya Hettel, Jessica Sparks, David Hatchett Jr., Kendra Guthmiller, Angella Jacobs.

Joan Hatchett Rigsby was born May 2, 1947 in the Lone Pine Community near Clarksville, Arkansas to Burl Hatchett and Christene Buchanan Hatchett.

She passed away August 20, 2019 in Paris, Arkansas at the age of 72.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James "Jim" Edward Rigsby; her son, James Edward Rigsby, Jr.; her brothers, Ronnie Dean Hatchett and Burl David Hatchett, Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Joe Rigsby and his wife, Margaret of Clarksville, Arkansas; Jeffery Carl Rigsby of Lamar, Arkansas; her daughter, Lisa Dawn Rigsby Clark and her husband, Ian of Hagarville, Arkansas; her brother, Gary Don Hatchett of Clarksville, Arkansas; her sister, Mary Ruth Hatchett Pizzotti and husband, Will of Clarksville, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Danny Joe Rigsby, Jr. of Clarksville, Arkansas; Matthew James Rigsby and wife, Amy of Altus, Arkansas; Ashley Nicole Rigsby of Flippin, Arkansas; her great-grandchildren, Steven James Rigsby of Clarksville, Arkansas; Ivy Elona Rigsby of Altus, Arkansas and Grayden Edward Rigsby-Williams of Flippin, Arkansas.

Open visitation will be held during business hours at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas.

A graveside service is 10 a.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are her nieces and nephews: Kenny Bridgewater, Ernie Bridgewater, Cissy Heaslet, Regina Cole, Roxann Lewis, Angela Pearson, Christy Harp, Misty Bridgewater, Tommy Lee Rigsby, Jr., Marsha Pratt, Tonya Hettel, Jessica Sparks, David Hatchett, Jr., Kendra Guthmiller, and Angella Jacobs.
