Minnie “Mickey” Mae (Huffman) Adams was born to John Henry Huffman and Annie (Scroggins) Huffman on October 19, 1940 in Jerusalem. Minnie was one of 14 children. Minnie passed away in Morrilton and was welcomed into Heaven’s gates on October 1, 2020 at the age of 79.
She was raised and attended school in Jerusalem, where she gained her competitive spirit and love for athletics. Minnie excelled on her school basketball team and kept her passion for sports into adulthood. Minnie enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals; however, her heart belonged to the Arkansas Razorbacks. She was a season ticket holder for the team and any question a person could think of relating to the Hogs, Minnie could answer.
Minnie was a Christian belonging to the Church of Christ Faith. She was employed for 20 years by Levis and later in life owned the Baseline Lounge in Little Rock. Minnie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She had a way of making those who loved her feel special, especially around the holidays. Minnie will be missed greatly.
Minnie is preceded in death by her parents: sons: Bobby Adams and Randy Adams; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Minnie is survived by her son Thomas and Sheila Adams of Morrilton; 7 grandchildren: Shauna Baker, Bianca Kagle, Brandi Adams, Shane Davis, Cody Adams, Veronica Adams, and Brandon Adams; 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Adams, Cody Adams, Lane Moore, Dash McCullar, Payton Moore, and Shane Davis.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m, October 5, 2020 at the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Old Liberty Cemetery in Scotland.
