Chiquita, 79, of Benton died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Saline Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton, artist, former typesetter for Jones Printing, former coordinator for the Saline County Literacy Council, and a member of the National Poets Society and the Poets Roundtable. She was a daughter of the late William and Annie Virginia Cook Anderson and the widow of Charles Monroe Oliver and William Wilson Sills.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Carlos William (Tony) and Phyllis Oliver of Clarksville and Jose Deshon Oliver of Benton; five grandchildren, Casa Paul Oliver of Benton, Tonya Ann Holben of Lamar, Tanya Ladon Carlton of Clarksville, Terri Lynn Sisco of Altus, Okla., and Heaven Anticlea Oliver of Wayne, Pa.; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home. "Johnson County Graphic"
Born in New Mexico, a daughter of William J Gonzolas and Anniea V Varsavania, then adopted in Arkansas by William Anderson and Annie Virginia Cook, who named her Wilma Ann, but in later life she reverted to her Chiquita LoJuana birth name.
