OBIT
Clara Jean Pemberton, 86, of Huntsville; passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at home. She was born Saturday, September 8, 1934, at Aurora; to Squire and Golda Murphy Whorton.
Jeanie married Bobbie Gene Pemberton on Saturday, September 3, 1955 at Wichita, Kansas; and together they were parents to three children. She had a servant's heart and was a "giver" in all sense of the word. As a friend to many, and someone who loved her family dearly, she truly celebrated the little things in life. Many years of her life were dedicated to the Huntsville School District where she was fondly known as "Miss Jeanie" and served in many capacities. She enjoyed supporting the Huntsville Eagles and Arkansas Razorbacks along with growing flowers and cooking for others. She was an active member of the Aurora EH Club and always looked forward to gathering and visiting with her Wednesday morning coffee group as well as her retired school secretary lunch group.
Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, and one brother. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lori Pemberton; and John and Rachel Pemberton; and one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ron Stevens, all of Huntsville; and four grandsons, Cody Stevens, Clint Stevens, Mack Stevens, and Alex Pemberton and fiancee' Lydia DeBoer.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Aurora Cemetery with members of the family officiating. Pallbearers will be Ron Stevens, Cody Stevens, Clint Stevens, Mack Stevens, and Alex Pemberton. Memorials in Jeanie's name may be made to Camp Siloam Scholarship Fund, 3600 S Lincoln Street, Siloam Springs, AR 72761. www.campsiloam.com/donations/. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
