Alfred D. Fassler, 84, of Lamar died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Sparks Hospital, Ft. Smith, AR.
Born Monday, January 17, 1927 in Nicolaus, California to Daniel and Bertha (Ruegg) Fassler he was a retired truck driver, fire chief of Hagarville and an Army WWII Veteran.
He is survived by a loving companion: Linda Tumbleson; three sons: Daniel (Donnell) Fassler, San Jose, California; John (Martha) Fassler, Knoxville, Arkansas; and Albert (Melissa) Fassler, Lamar, Arkansas; four daughters: Charlotte (Richard) Klein, Lamar, Arkansas; Cheryl (Mike) Abner, Center Ridge, Arkansas; Linda (Tony) Danti, Lamar, Arkansas; and Kathy (Andre) Cote, Clarksville, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren; one sister: Eleanor Perazzo, Saratoga, California, and numerous family members and friends & preceded in death by his wife, Louise Fassler.
Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 P.M. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday in Roller-Cox Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas with Reverend Steve Pyle presiding.
Pallbearers will be: David Graves, Don Davis, Fred Danti, David Cote, Alfred Klein, Larry Bartee, Steve Wolfe, and Danny Helms.
Honorary pallbearers are Andre Cote, Tony Danti, Mike Abner, Steven Wolfe, Bob Klein, Rusty Bartee, Jake Tumbleson, and RD3 Firefighters.
