OBIT
Darrel Ray Thomas, 59, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died February 28, 2012 at his home. He was born September 13, 1952 at Huntsville, Arkansas, the son of William Hershel and Josephine Glenn Thomas. He was a heavy equipment operator for McClinton-Anchor Construction Company, a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army and a life member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Thomas, Dale Thomas and Delmer Thomas.
Surivors include: his wife, Jamie Branam Thomas of the home; two sons, Phillip Thomas and Jerrad Thomas, both of Huntsville, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Pres and Sue Thomas of Huntsville, Arkansas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jim Spurlock of Huntsville, Arkansas and Brenda and R. D. Eaton of Wesley, Arkansas; one grandson, Rowdy Thomas of Huntsville, Arkansas and one granddaughter, Mena Thomas of Huntsville, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, March 3, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Jim Spurlock officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Jim Smith, Fred O'Neal, Robert Napier, Jimmy Kimball, David Osburn and Abel Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Garrett, Ray Dean Middleton, Jerry Officer, Larry Wall and A. C. Ramirez.
