Mildred Hudson Blackburn, age 98, of Russellville went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 9, 2020. She was born November 1, 1921, in Clarksville to Elmer Levi and Laura Harvey Hudson.
She was a graduate of Clarksville Schools, a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired secretary of the Searcy Public Schools.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband, King Blackburn; two brothers, Raymond Hudson and E.E. Hudson; and a sister, Ilene Jones.
Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and John Przybys of Russellville, Maureen and Rick Adkins of Little Rock, and Melinda and Paul McNeill of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Sarah Harriman (Nathan) of Fayetteville, Laura Jones of Little Rock, Dr. Blake Stevenson (Jill) of Huntertown, Indiana, Maggie Stevenson of Jonesboro, Dr. Bret Stevenson of Atlanta, Georgia and Hallie McNeill of Brooklyn, New York; and eight great-grandchildren, Aidan, Declan and Iain Stevenson, Lily and Claire Jones and Hudson, Caroline and Cate Harriman.
A private graveside service will be held for the family in Woodland Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 100 East Race Avenue, Searcy, Arkansas 72143 or the Woodland Cemetery, P.O. Box 231, Clarksville, Arkansas 72830.
