Helen Dale Taylor, 62, of Gassville passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born July 20, 1956 in Denison, Texas to the late AZ and Margaret (Bush) Sampson. Helen passed from complications from esophageal cancer for 17 years. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management degree and was a Registered Nurse. Helen loved riding motorcycles, gardening, fishing, blues music, and helping others. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Sara Martin of Mountain Home and Dr. Eric Edell of the Mayo Clinic. Helen is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Julian Sampson.
Helen is survived by her husband, Gary Taylor of Gassville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jon (Shannon) Taylor of Mountain Home, Chris (Jo) Sampson of Nebraska and Josh Sears of Oklahoma; two grandsons, Brycen and Jaxson; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Vera (Colin) Keown of Oklahoma, Dorothy Montgomery of Texas and Linda Ertel of California; a mother-in-law, Francis Taylor of Arizona; her three dogs that she loved, Jake, Jazz and Missy and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Gassville. Pallbearers will be Chris Sampson, Josh Sears, Jon Taylor, Brad House, Colin Keown and Arnold Shreffler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, 14215 Hwy 5 South, Norfork, AR 72658.
