February 11, 1882 - April 28, 1970
Moncie Trossie Vaughan, 88 of Camden died Tuesday in a local nursing home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Columbia Vaughan; five sons, L.V. Vaughan of Kansas City, Hossie Vaughan and Claudia Vaughan of Rockford, Ill.; Charles Perry Vaughan of Camden; CPL Ivory Joe Vaughan of USMC, 29 Palms, Calif.; seven daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Kearney of Kansas City, Mrs. Lula Mae Johnson of Camden, Mrs. Verdia Patterson of Wasco, Calif., Mrs. Lillian Foreman, Mrs. Jewel Dean Merrett, Miss Eltha Mae Vaughan, Miss Gladia Vaughan all of Rockford; 32 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Shady Grove Baptist Church. Williams Funeral Service in charge. (Camden News - April 30, 1970)
