Ruby Jean Wilcox White, 83, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born September 9, 1932 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to the late Rube and Minnie Wilcox. She was a longtime and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.

She enjoyed reading and spending time with family, especially rocking lots of babies from three generations. Thanksgiving dinner at her home was always a cherished event. She grew up on a farm at Springhill, Arkansas in the back of the family owned grocery store and filling station on busy Highway 65. She graduated from Greenbrier High School and Arkansas State Teachers College, now the University of Central Arkansas.

She lived in New Mexico and Texas before moving back to Arkansas in 1961. She was a first grade teacher for 29 years, teaching in the same classroom, retiring from Tolleson Elementary in 1999.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Paula Sue McGary (Dwayne) of Conway; Natalee White of Maumelle, Lisa Moore of Jacksonville, three grandchildren; Shane Moore (Charlotte), Chris McGary, (fiance' Ally Mills), Leslie York (Cody), five great-grandchildren, Kendell, Cannon, Cooper, Hadley and Evan, brother; Paul Wicox (Carol) of Greenbrier, sister; Sue Dean (Lyndel) of Cabot, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Cliff Hutchins and Bro. Doug Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Gene Bowman, Joey Price, Dubby Wilcox, Isaac Jones, Jim Pearson, Parker Pearson. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Moore, Chris McGary and Hunter Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jacksonville Building Fund, 401 N. First Street, Jacksonville, AR. 72076 or U.A.M.S. Myloma Institute, 521 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock, AR. 72201.
