Sarah Reece departed this life Friday,
June 28, 1912."Aunt Sallie" Reece, as she
was kindly known, was Miss Sarah
Darnell; she was born in Pickens Co.,GA.,
Nov. 2, 1843 and was aged 68 years, 7
months, and 26 days of age at time of
demise. At an early age she was
converted and joined the Baptist church
and after lived a consistent member and
true Christian until the Master called
her home. At the age of 19 she was
married to A.G. Reece and in 1870 moved
to Benton County, Ark. IN 1871
Mr. Reece was killed, leaving her a
widow with four children, and she
remained a widow until she died. Her
children were all living except the
oldest who passed away at an early
age. J.W. Reece, Mrs. Martha Gibson
and W.J. Reece were all present
when the "Black Camel" - death -
kneeled at the gate and took her away.

Her body was conveyed to Mt. Enterprise
Cemetery where funeral services were
conducted by Geo. W. Seter, many
sympathetic friends being present;
the burial occurred June 29 at 5 p.m.
Contributed. In the death of this lady,
who was numbered among the very early
settlers of this section, the News
Herald is joined by many in extending
condolence to the relatives of
the deceased.

Will Reece departed Monday
afternoon for his home at Indiahoma,
Okla.; he having come on account of
the serious illness of his mother and
was present with her before she
passed away.
