A Funeral Service for Rita Rae Streetz of Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, June 27, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Rita passed away June 23, 2013, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 75. She was born January 14, 1938, in Franklin Park, Illinois, the daughter of Scotty and Veronica Werthmann Ryan. She married James F. Streetz on March 8, 1958, at River Grove, Illinois and worked as a cashier for Gorskies. Rita moved from St. Charles, Illinois, to Mountain Home, Arkansas, in 1995, where she stayed until she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2012. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Prayer Shawl Ministries. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, gardening, crocheting, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Rita is survived by her son, James (Meirilande) Streetz of Tulsa, OK, daughter, Joanne Lynn (David) Kremer of Waukesha, WI, six grandchildren, Vonya Streetz, Matthew (Sarah Beth) Kremer, Michael Kremer, Joseph Kremer, Thomas Kremer, Maria Kremer, one great-grandchild on-the-way, brother, Curt Ryan, three sisters, Sharon Ryan, Janet Ryan, Pat Wyman, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Jerry Ryan and Bobby Ryan; sister, Colleen Ryan and special friend, William Byrne.
Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to American Legion Auxiliary Veteran Package.
