Herbert Lingar, 76, of Hartman died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired coal miner and poultry farmer, native of Hartman, son of the late Hugh Garrett and Josephine M. Turner Lingar, member of New Life Christian Church and Springhill Masonic Lodge No. 118 at Hartman, and a 32nd degree Mason.
Survivors include his widow, Marie Rofkahr Lingar; one daughter, Ann Robinson of Hartman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Judy Lingar of Clarksville and Dane and Pat Lingar of Hartman; one sister, Pauline Bishop of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jack Glaze and Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial was in West Mount Zion Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were John Robinson, Chad Lingar, Garrett Lingar, Bret Lingar, Brian Woodard, and Greg Lingar.
Honorary pallbearer was Todd Lingar.

Marie Elizabeth Lingar was born May 28, 1925 in Hartman, Arkansas and passed away June 17, 2017 in Hartman, at the age of 92.
She was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert William Lingar; her parents, John Rofkahr and Mary Anna Rofkahr; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Herbert Wayne Lingar and William Dane Lingar, both of Clarksville; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Robinson of Hartman; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2017 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Clarksville with Father William Wewers, O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow at West Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hartman.
Pallbearers will be Bret Lingar, Josh Alston, Jacob Lingar, Chad Lingar, Quinton Pannell, and Joe Wages. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gregory Lingar and Tim Wages.
