Obituary for Florence Elizabeth Zelk
A Graveside Service for Florence Elizabeth Zelk of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Monday, December 11, 2017, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum Open Air Chapel, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Florence passed away December 7, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 93. She was born November 19, 1924, in Plain City, Ohio, the daughter of Benjiman and Amanda Mullet Yoder. She married Richard E. Zelk on January 31, 1943, in Midland, Michigan and was a homemaker. Florence lived in Mountain Home since 1984, moving from Saudi Arabia. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge and was a Bridge Master. She also liked to quilt, paint, crochet, and do needlework.
Florence is survived by her five sons, Wilbur (Dianna Jean McGuire) Zelk of Mountain Home, AR, Richard A. (Susana Sanchez) Zelk of Mountain Home, AR, Garry G. Zelk and longtime companion Nate Parrish of Mountain Home, AR, Jerry Lee Zelk of Mountain Home, AR and Terry T. (Robin) Zelk of Norfork, AR; daughter, Sybil (Bob) Jacobs-Redmond of Mountain Home, AR and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard E. Zelk, three brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the North Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
