Betty Lou Walker Dorris Herrmann, 81, of Granby, Mo., died Sept. 6, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. She was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Bentonville, Ark., to Clyde and Alma Walker. She lived in the area all of her life.
She worked for 17 years at Beaver's Truck Stop in Jane, Mo., as a cook, Bear Brank Hosiery in Bentonville, Wal-Mart Warehouse #8 for 12 years, and Phillips Food Center in Bentonville. She enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, cooking and raising kids. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Dorris Jr.; and two brothers, Lee Walker and John Walker.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha Blevins and husband J.D. of Granby, Mo.; a sister, Annie Fletcher and husband Neil of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Joyce Walker of Savenburg, Kan.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is set for 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Dug Hill Cemetery in Bella Vista.

Billy Jay Dorris, Jr., 50, of Pineville, Mo. died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark.
He was born April 22, 1964, in Bentonville, Ark. to Billy Jay Dorris, Sr. and Betty L. Walker. He was a contract construction worker. He loved horses, the outdoors, rock music, Chiefs football and his four grandsons. He is preceded in death by his
father.
Survivors are his mother, Betty Dorris, of Hiwasse, Ark.; a son, Billy Dorris III, of Pineville, Mo.; two daughters, Lacey and Autumn Dorris, of Iowa; a sister, Martha Blevins, of Goodman, Mo. and four grandsons.
Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 10, at Dughill Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark. with Pastor Jamie Cope officiating. Arrangements were with Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge, Ark.
