Ruby Akridge Barton, of Macon, died at her daughter’s home, April 22, in Center, Texas. Born February 1, 1927 to the late Will and Judie Akridge of White County. She was formerly of the Macon community before her employer Southwestern Bell transferred her to the Ft. Smith office. Upon retiring she moved to Fayetteville North Carolina to be near son, Philip.
Survivors are her children Larry Barton of Crookston, Minnesota; Philip Barton, of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Vicki Barton Frederick, of Center, Texas; brother, John W. Akridge, of El Monte, California; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery in White County. Family will receive from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
