Mistey Denise Harrison, age 55, of Cabot, AR, was lifted into Heaven on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Michael Harrison; son Blake James and wife, Ashley; daughter, Brittany James; son, Benjamin Stegemann; bonus son, Cain Harrison and wife, Becca; two granddaughters, Bailey and Brooklyn Stegemann; brother, Alan Wayne Rateliff; and sister, Lisa Diane Rateliff, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Earl and Norma Jean Rateliff; and her brother, Mark Anthony Rateliff.
Mistey was born February 25th, 1964 in Jacksonville, AR. She graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1982 where she was an accomplished flautist and member of the color guard in the marching band. She continued her education with the American Board of Opticianry, becoming a highly accredited licensed optician and a staple in her industry as well as her community.
After sharing 14 years of happiness, love, and laughter, Mistey married the love of her life, Michael Harrison on November 14th, 2019. Mistey was a woman of faith and was baptized by her son, Blake while surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed bowling with her ladies league team on Monday nights. Her favorite nickname was “Mimi” as her granddaughters were the light of her life.
Visitation will be held this Sunday, January 19th, 2020 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home from 2-4pm. A celebration of Mistey’s life will be held on Monday, January 20th, 2020 at Grace Fellowship Church in Cabot, AR at 10am. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home. (501) 982-2136.
