Elisabeth (Schlichtherle) Corey, 95, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was born September 3, 1920 in Obergermaringen, Germany to the late Xaiver and Anna (Kienle) Schlichtherle. She married her husband on September 21, 1948 in Frankfurt, Germany. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville founder and past president of the German American, and Edelweiss Club and she also retired from J.C. Penney. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Jackson Corey, four sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children; Joseph and Virginia Corey, of Charleston, AR; Patricia A. Corey, of Jacksonville, AR, grandchildren Corey and Anna Smith, of Jacksonville, AR; Patrick and Leslie Smith, of Fayetteville, AR; Adam and Rita Corey, of Misawa, Japan. Great-grandchildren, Madeline; Ethan; Vincent; Lexa; Geneva, and Evan and one brother Ludwig Schlichtherle of Obergunzberg, Germany. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and the Staff, CNAs, and Nurses at Green Hurst Nursing Center, Charleston, AR.
