Mrs. Nina Smith, age 71 of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Christus St. Michaels in Texarkana. She was born June 4, 1950 to Earl Jr. and Joyce Worthey Cox, in Hope, Arkansas. Nina was co-owner of Smith-Welding and a retired pediatric LPN. She was a kind, loving soul. Her life's greatest passion was helping others. She was a 1st responder for the DeAnn Volunteer Fire Dept., and had established the Family Fire Fighters Fund, which helped families experiencing loss due to house fires. She worked at Shelter Workshop and often donated her time to many charitable organizations. She also enjoyed spending time with family, sewing and quilting, painting, singing and playing piano. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, William Joey Smith and sisters, Katherine Adkinson, Norma Jean Brittain, and Reva Bramlett.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, William Smith of Hope; daughter, Theresa Sisson; brothers, Earl Cox Jr. of Blevins, AR and Larry Cox of Hope, AR; sisters, Patsy Oliver and Karen Sorrells, both of Hope, AR. Seven grandchildren, Shelby, Kylie, Ryder, Molly Rose, Kayla, Katie, Daylan; three great-grandchildren, Kynslee, Collier and Myasia; a host of relatives and friends
