When Izora Sosebee was born in February 1894 in Arkansas, her father, Sampson, was 46, and her mother, Mittie, was 23. She married Robert Franklin Edwards on November 30, 1912. They had five children in 12 years. She died on September 10, 1970, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, at the age of 76, and was buried in Beebe, Arkansas.
