Jewel Nancy Wright Kirk was born on February 5, 1911, in El Paso, Arkansas, the daughter of Nora and Jesse. She married Herman Buchanan Kirk in 1930 in Woodruff, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. She died on February 12, 1987, at the age of 76, and was buried in Beebe, Arkansas.
