Dilmer C. Trotter, 78, of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on October 31, 1927 in North Little Rock to the late Charley E. and Eva E. Crone Trotter. He is also preceded in death by two brothers Earl and Carl Trotter as well as a sister, Bernice Pettit Trotter. He served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Philippines and the Air Force during the Korean War. He later retired from Delta Airlines. Mr. Trotter was an early member of the Jacksonville Sertoma Club which was founded in 1956. He held all posts within the club including club president. He was an avid supporter of the goals of the Sertoma Club which included help to the speech and hearing impaired, boys and girls programs, little league football, The Miss Jacksonville Pageant and other worthwhile charity events. He was a faithful and devoted member and will be missed by both Sertoma members and the Jacksonville community.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Atkins Trotter of Jacksonville; daughter, Teresa A. Patrick and her husband Bill, of Trussville, Alabama; grandchildren, Trey Will Patrick of Henderson, Nevada and Mitchell Wyatt Patrick of Trussville, Alabama; great-grandchild, Madison Anne Patrick of Henderson, Nevada; sister, Mary A. Welch of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2005 at Moores Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cliff Hutchins officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Jacksonville Sertoma Club, P.O. Box 988, Jacksonville, AR.

Ruth Atkins Trotter age 76, of Birmingham, Alabama formerly of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012.
She was born October 23, 1935 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to the late Maynard and Etta L. Atkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dilmer C. Trotter, four brothers, Hugh Leslie Atkins, Henry Ford Atkins, Hassel D. Atkins, Harold L. Atkins, and a sister Joyce Atkins Rose.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa Trotter Patrick and her husband Billy, two grandsons Will Patrick and Mitch Patrick, one great-granddaughter, Madison Patrick, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends and neighbors in Jacksonville.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
