Theodora Eichbrecht, age 87, of Austin passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014. She was born August 20, 1927 in New Orleans, LA to the late Almon Smith Jr. and Theodora Whitney. She was a very patriotic woman who served as a cadet nurse during WWII. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin C. Eichbrecht and her daughter Maurie Christine Eichbrecht. She is survived by her daughters Cyd Simmons, Claire Wilkinson, one son Carey Eichbrecht, 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Searcy. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory (501) 982-2136.
