When John Alvis Nooner was born on January 10, 1913, in McCool, Arkansas, his father, Joseph, was 33 and his mother, Janetta, was 31. He married Nancy Alice Spradlin on July 15, 1934, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. He died on June 19, 1978, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 65, and was buried in Faulkner, Arkansas.
