Travis W. Johnson age 69, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was born January 9, 1942 in Haleyville, Alabama. He served 23 years in the United States Navy, served during Vietnam, was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4548 , and was a Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy for 23 years. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Johnson, children; Debra Henry, Kimberly Wilcoxson, Douglas Johnson and his wife Karen, one sister, grandchildren; Cortney Browning and her husband Robert, Heath Heslep, Taylor Wilcoxson, Haley and Hannah Johnson, great-grandchildren; McKenzie Browning, Kyndal Browning, and Isabelle Heslep. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
