Investigation into the death of Mrs. Dwana Jennings whose body was discovered January 15 in a wooded area four miles south of El Dorado on the South Field Road, is being continued around the clock by city, county and state law enforcement officers, Union County Sheriff Homer Pirtle said Wednesday. Mrs. Jennings was reported missing on the morning of January 6, and her bod was found nine days later, around 4:30 in the afternoon, in the trunk of her automobile which was parked off the road. Death was reported to have been cause by strangulation. Sheriff Pirtle said that various types of evidence and information had been mailed to the crime laboratory of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Washington, D.C. for further study by that agency. He said that he has assigned two deputy sheriffs to work full time on the case along with city detectives and also with A. Pieroni of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division. The law enforcement agencies are at this time in the process of running down various types of leads and questioning circumstantial witnesses and will continue to do so, Pirtle said.
