FAYETTEVILLE — Joy Sue Jordan Ashworth, 79, of Fayetteville died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Willard Walker Hospice, Fayetteville. Joy
went home to be with her Heavenly Father. She will be missed dearly. She lived most of her life in Fayetteville and retired from IGA Southgate. She was born Aug. 1, 1937, to Amos and Anna Patrick Jordan in Crosses, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brothers Samuel and James, sisters Geraldine Foster of Elkins, Janie Williams of Huntsville and Florence Garriott of Baldwin. She is survived by two sisters, June Long (Bobby) of Siloam Springs and Janice Myers (Jimmy) of Wedington, sons; Billy Ashworth and wife Dorothy of Fayetteville, Clifford Todd Ashworth of Fayetteville and Kelly Ashworth and wife Rhesa of Fayetteville, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service with Paul W. Davis officiating will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church, Fayetteville under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be Billy Ashworth Jr., Christopher Ashworth, Jordan Ashworth, Larry Ashworth, Allen Myers and Steve Long.
