Don G. Cater, 70, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Clarksville. Born Friday, March 7, 1941 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Loren Cater and Mable Hall Cater he was retired from the Arkansas State Police, a barber, author and inventor.
Survivors include his wife Margarette Palmer Cater of the home; one son: Lt. Jeff Hanson of Moyock, NC; five daughters: Donna Cater Pruden of Lowell, AR; Debra E. Cater, Debbie McClure, Angie Hudson and Missy Humphrey all of Clarksville, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents; birth mother: Dorothy Pickett, and granddaughter, Carly Beth Hudson.

Margarette Cater, 68, of Clarksville, died November 30, 2013. She was born September 9, 1945, in Crossett, Arkansas, to the late James Palmer and Willie (Barnett) Palmer. She worked at Johnson Regional Medical Center for a number of years, later retiring as the school nurse at Clarksville Schools, after 15 years. She was awarded the Outstanding Nurse award by the Arkansas Tech. University nursing class of 2006. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Don Cater and a granddaughter, Carly Beth Hudson.
Mrs. Cater is survived by three daughters, Debbie McClure and husband, Darrin, Angie Hudson and husband, Jake, and Missy Humphrey and partner, Chad, all of Clarksville; a stepson, Jeff Hanson and wife, Kim of North Carolina; a brother Manvil Palmer and wife, Teresa of Clarksville; a friend Alen Ashlock of Clarksville; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church, with Bro. Jim Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Kendall Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Clayton Vaught, Blake Neumeier, Jeremy Williams, Dustin Humphrey, Matt Hudson, and Jace Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alen Ashlock, Darrin McClure, Jake Hudson and Chad Chrisman.
