Mrs. Rebecca Davis Shafer, 77, died last night at the State Sanatorium in Booneville, following a long illness. She was born in Virginia in 1874, coming to Arkansas as a child, and lived with her parents in Benton County. She was married in 1894 to Frank Shafer of Prairie Grove, where they made that home. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors are three sons, Paul of Prairie Grove, Raymond of Fayetteville, and Dale Shafer of Springdale; one brother, Walker Davis, Southwest City, Mo.; four sisters, Miss Gertrude Davis, Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Arthur Pratt of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Mollie Carmen of Oregon, and Mrs. Dora Haste of Washington; one grandchild, Phillip Shafer.
Funeral services with arrangements in charge of Luginbuel Funeral Home at Prairie Grove, will he in the chapel of Luginbuel Funeral Home at 2 p.m., tomorrow, with burial in Farmington cemetery.
