Shirley May Smith of Robert, Louisiana, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Robert, LA. She was a homemaker. She was born September 23, 1946 in Rogers, Arkansas to Arlis and Hallie Ester Phillips Pelts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Smith and her parents.
Shirley is survived by a daughter, Amy Smith of Robert, Louisiana; a son, David Smith and wife Virginia of Katy, Texas; a brother, Ben Pelts and wife Karren of Hunt Town, Arkansas; and eight grandchildren, Lillian Mocklin, Cindel Smith, Abigail, Evelyn, Elizabeth, and Isabelle Mocklin, and Silesie and Charlie Smith.
Serving as pallbearers are Donnie and Berry Pelts, James Bernard, and Joseph and Johnny Reynolds.
Graveside service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt Town under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
