Albert H. "Babe" Guist, 75, of Fayetteville died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993, at his residence. He was born Feb. 22, 1917, at Fayetteville, the son of Robert Edwin and Elvte Edna Cook Guist. He retired from the University of Arkansas after 45 years of service, was formerly employed by Kelly Brothers Lumber Co. and was a born-again Christian at White Rock Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville.

Survivors are his wife, Ruby Ellen McClendon Guist, to whom he was married 52 years, of the home; a son, Arthur Hayden Guist of Farmington; four daughters, Martha E. (Helen) Vandelip of Cane Hill, Virginia Lee Welch of Bay Town, Texas; a brother, S. W. Guist of Fayetteville; a sister, Frances A. Cunningham of Siloam Springs; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the White Rock Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. H. M. Shipp and Brother Jim Williams officiating. Burial will be in Tharp Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Nelson's Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the White Rock Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 191, Farmington, Ark. 72730.
