Coy Ward Pruitt, age 85, of Ozark, Arkansas died April 4, 2021.
He was the owner and operator of Pruitt Trucking, of the Christian Faith and a Veteran of the United States Marines.
He was born April 9, 1935 in Ozark to John and Eddie Hutchens Pruitt.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Harold Pruitt; and one sister Elsie Morris.
He is survived by his wife Willa Bonds Pruitt of Ozark; one son Bryan Pruitt and wife Eileen of Harrison, Arkansas; two daughters, Tracie Fate and husband Mark of Ozark and Connie Cady and husband Jeff of Ozark; nine grandchildren, Cassie Foster and husband Jason of Ozark, Donnie Fate and fiancé Amber Tyree of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Catherine Fate, of Ozark, Scott Cady of Ozark, Maggie Jo Hansen and husband Will of Fayetteville, Emily Durham and husband Cole of Benton, Arkansas, Sarah Yates and husband John of Ozark, Karlee Pruitt of Boise, Idaho and Taylor Pruitt of Fayetteville; and six great grandchildren, Seth and Sean Foster, Coy and Marlee Cady all of Ozark, Blakely and Willa Durham of Benton.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Cemetery Ridge Cemetery with Brother Henry Pruitt officiating under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Pallbearers will be James Gude, Johnny Pruitt, Kevin, Paul Don and Randal Bonds, Greg Willhite, John Daniel and Jimmy McKean. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cassie Foster, Donnie Fate, Catherine Fate, Scott Cady, Maggie Jo Hansen, Emily Durham, Sarah Yates, Karlee Pruitt, Taylor Pruitt, Seth Foster, Sean Foster, Coy Cady, Marlee Cady, Blakely Durham and Willa Durham.
