OBIT

Shirley Ann Scott, 77, of Jacksonville, was born on April 26, 1938 to Charlie and Clyde K. Davis, in the city and state of Warrenton, Georgia. She was the youngest of twelve siblings.

Shirley accepted Christ at an early age and was a current member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church until her death. She married Franklin N. Scott in 1957, and to this union was born four children. She worked at Rose Care Nursing Home as the Activities Director for nineteen years. She enjoyed time with friends at the Jacksonville Community Center for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memory MSGT Franklin Scott, four children; Patricia Scott, Jerry Scott, and wife Juhee, Daphne Scott, and Terence Scott, and wife, Mona, all of Jacksonville. Two living sisters; Lou Gene Cosby and Connie Nance, of Augusta, Georgia, one loving granddaughter; Kimberly Simcox, and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Reverend Craig Collier officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2016 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
