Joe E. Claypool, 84, of Fayetteville died Nov. 28, 2006, at Northwest Medical Center. Born Jan. 21, 1922, in Fayetteville, the son of Samuel M. and Beulah West Claypool.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Annabel Anderson Claypool of the home, to whom he was married March 21, 1949; one son, Lynn Claypool and wife Debbie of Springdale; two grandsons, Bryan and Lance Claypool; three granddaughters, Ashley, Hope and Anna Claypool, all of Springdale.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday. Dec. 1, at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Cliff Palmer and the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will be in Stuckey Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 30 at the funeral home. The family will be present.
