Mary Lou Stephens, 68, of Hiwasse, Ark., died Tues., April 9, 2019 at Regency Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. She was born Jan. 30, 1951 in Lanagan, Mo. to Jim and Fern Robertson. She married Calvin L. Stephens on Nov. 2, 1968 in Greenland, Ark.
Mary Lou moved to Rogers, Ark. and was a loving mother to her three children. She worked at Pel Freeze Industries in Rogers, Ark., at Walmart in various positions, and at Highlands Nursing Center in Bella Vista, Ark. She also worked countless hours with her husband in the drywall business.
Mary Lou was a member of Cross Church in Rogers, Ark. She was a true reflection of God's love. She selflessly gave her time and resources and always had a smile for everyone. She always put others before herself and never wanted anyone to go hungry in her presence. She truly loved her family and was considered the world's greatest mom and grandmother. Mary Lou wanted people to know and love Jesus so she could see all of her loved ones in Eternity. She never tired of telling people about Jesus and his love.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Leonard and Charles Robertson, Margie Trusdale, and Shirley Swafford.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin, to whom she was married Nov. 2, 1968, and her children, son CJ of Bella Vista, Ark., Angela Cotton of Florida, and Lisa Ferry of Bella Vista, Ark. Also surviving are a brother, William Robertson of Hiwasse, Ark., Teresa Francis of Gravette, Ark., and 10 precious grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service at 605 W. Central, Bentonville, Ark. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 12-2 pm followed by a graveside service at 2:30 at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark. Pallbearers are CJ Stephens, Joey Cotton, Jason Ferry, Blake Cotton, Kyler Cotton, and Randy Bryson.
