Marguerite Evans Parks, 93, of Smackover went on to be with her heavenly Father on April 7, 2021. She joins a host of family and friends.
She was born February 7, 1928 to Ollie and Mary Iva Evans. She enjoyed a life as a homemaker and a prominent member of First United Methodist Church of Smackover.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Homer Parks; sisters, Oleta Stamper, Dorothy Martisek and Marie Darden; brothers, Melvin Evans and Vernon Evans.
Survivors include her sons, Tommy Parks (Cindy) of El Dorado, Robert Parks of Smackover and her daughter, Carolyn Rowan (Gregg) of Smackover; sister, Jean Butcher of El Dorado; grandchildren, Cassie Hegwood (David) of Smackover, Bryce Rowan (Haley) of Smackover and Chase Rowan (Spencer) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Alex and Eli Rowan of Smackover; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family; and all her special caregivers.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Cemetery on Lisbon Rd. and a graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Parks officiating.
