Wesley, Ark., resident Ernest Gordon Bowen died Thursday at the age of 76.
Service was held Tuesday, March 13, at Shaffer Funeral Home with Elder James Isaacs officiating. Burial was at Morgan Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home, Ozark, Ark.

Wetha Jo Bowen, 85, of Wesley, Arkansas was carried home to heaven in the arms of our Savior, Sunday, April 4, 2020 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a set up operator for Cooper Power Systems and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was born June 29, 1934 in Webb City, Arkansas to James Athel and Lillian Lois Williams Shelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Gordon Bowen; her parents; two sons, Gordon Dwain and Dennis Ricky Bowen; a sister, Ruby Nell Bowen; and three grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Braden Hunt, and Sterlon Abercrombie.
She is survived by a daughter, Darla Kay Bloomdahl and husband Steve of Ozark; three sons, Brian Gordon Bowen and wife Christina of Rogers, Arkansas, Darrell Keith Bowen and wife Anita of Elkins, Arkansas, and Donald Ray Bowen of Wesley, Arkansas; a brother, James Roney Shelton and wife Mary Jo of Alma, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Dee Hunt, Natasha Dreves, Chris, Nick, and Nat Bloomdahl, Jennifer Rea, Mike Abercrombie, Paula Smith, and Asher Pyle; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Open visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, April 9th at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial St. in Ozark.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2020 at Morgan Hill Cemetery with Brother Carl Sory officiating under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
