Douglas M. Turner, 78 of Strawberry, passed Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Cave City Nursing Home.
He was born June 17, 1942 in Batesville, AR to Lewis N. Turner & Esther Battles Turner. He grew up in Strawberry and lived in Newton, KS before returning to Arkansas. He served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for Boeing Aerospace as a sheet metal mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. He was a member of the church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Esther; sisters, Eunice Turner, Bunice Coleman, Wanda Simmons, Armilda Ralls, & Opaline Martin; brothers, Clay Turner, L. N. Turner, Jr., Jim Turner, Jack Turner, & Jerry Turner.
He is survived by his wife Diana Day Turner of the home; daughter, Marsha (David) Kelly of Cave City; sons, Michael (Kim) Turner of Wichita, KS & Mark (Sherri) Turner of Greenbriar; grandchildren, Jeremy (Santana) French of Pottersville, MO, Emma (William) Kesling of Pleasant Hill, Savanah (Blake) Keener of Cave City, Jake (Amber) Turner of Greenbriar, Elizabeth French of Greenbriar, Lucas (Sara) Turner of Clinton, MO, Makenna (Corey) Roberts of Batesville, AR; & Olivia Turner of Damascus, AR; great grandchildren, Brady, Colt, Blakely, Sawyer, Paisley, Sadie, Sophie, & Silas; and many nieces, nephews, & friends.
Visitation will be Friday June 4, 2021 from 12:30PM-2:00PM at the Strawberry Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at the Strawberry Church of Christ beginning at 2:00PM Friday June 4, 2021 with Gregg Cooper officiating.
Burial will be in Ward Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.
