Son of Olas and Annie Mae (Lackey) Turner.
Olas Wayne Turner, 68, of Strawberry, died Jan. 19, 2011, at his home.
Born April 26, 1942, in Shelbyville, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired construction operator and a member of the Bold Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olas and Annie Lackey Turner.
Survivors include two brothers, Paul Turner, Jonesboro, and Glenn Turner, Dixon, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Turner Gay, Jonesboro, and Janie Turner Jarrett, Batesville; and two special friends, Wilma Rawlings and Wade Reynolds, both of Cave City.
Funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m. at Qualls Funeral Home in Cave City with David Eric King officiating. Burial was in Ward Cemetery at Strawberry.
Pallbearers were Wade Reynolds, Billy Allen, Matthew Allen, Tim Crouch, Billy Jarrett and Adam Jarrett.
