Charlene Miller Scogins, 90 of Monticello passed away, November 1, 2015 at Belleview Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. She was born September 3, 1925 to John Henry Miller Sr. and Maurice Hackney Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Lawrence Scogins; one brother, John Henry Miller, Jr.; five sisters, Carolyn Summerford, Ouida Jordan, Reba Fletcher, Pasty Wiscaver, and Lucille Days.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and attended First Assembly of God Church. Charlene was a Christian who served her Lord faithfully. She was a gracious caregiver to those who needed her. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Charles “Buddy” Scogins and wife Vicki of Lonoke and Jackie Scogins of Monticello; one daughter, Darlene Scogins Holland and husband, Billy of Monticello; two brothers, James Miller of Russellville and Charles Miller of Crossett; one sister, Gloria Greene of Bastrop, LA; seven grandchildren, Rodney Scogins, Charles Scogins, Jr., Rhonda Scogins, Stacy Berry, Steven Holland, Nathan Scogins and Chad Scogins and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Lacey Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
